Frequently Asked Questions
- Do you charge for estimates?
- With JQC the initial home visit and estimate is completed at no charge. At that point, if you are committed to having JQC complete your project, we will spend as much time as needed to make your dreams become reality.
- Who will you send to work in my home?
- At JQC we are very sensitive the fact that your home is a private space full of your treasured personal belongings, so much so that we have structured our company to ensure your piece of mind. Almost all of the people that we will bring into your home will be direct employees of JQC. We have our own demolition, plumbing, sheetrock, painting, and tile setting crews. We will have sub contractors come in to complete some of the other licensed trades like the roofing and electrical work and on a large project we may bring in a sheetrock finisher to keep the job moving along.
- Does JQC have the appropriate license and insurance to work on my project?
- JQC holds a building contractor license that allows us to complete residential and commercial remodeling and residential and commercial building up to three stories. JQC holds a general liability policy and carries workman’s compensation on all its employees.
- How much mess will there be?
- The amount of dust will of course depend on the scope of you project. We will do everything that we can to keep the mess to a minimum. It is important to realize that no matter what size project that you have done or how careful we are; no project can be completed without creating dust throughout your home. In order to keep the mess to a minimum, we will do things such as lay down drop clothes on your floors from the point of entry to the site of the work performed. We will put down carpet protection over any carpet that we walk on. We will tape off rooms to contain the dust in only parts of the house. We will do our best to minimize our presence in your home.
- Can you provide references for your work?
- Upon your request we will provide references for you to talk to, or even look at some of our recent work
